Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SecurityBreak collects when you use securitybreak.io, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 1 July 2026

1. Who we are

SecurityBreak(“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website at securitybreak.io and publishes security research and tools for the AI security community. This policy applies to this marketing and research website only.

Our products — such as NovaHunting, Proximity, and PromptIntel — run as separate applications on their own subdomains and are governed by their own privacy notices and agreements. This policy does not cover data processed inside those applications.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide. We collect information you choose to give us, including:

  • Your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter or updates.
  • Your name, email, company, and any details you share when you book a demo or briefing (scheduling is handled through Google Calendar).
  • Any information you include when you contact us through our contact page or by email.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we collect limited, privacy-respecting, aggregate usage data — such as pages viewed, referring sites, approximate region, and device or browser type — along with standard server logs used to operate and secure the site. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only the cookies and local storage necessary to run the site and to measure aggregate traffic. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the site.

4. How we use your information

  • To operate, maintain, and secure the website.
  • To send you the newsletter and updates you have requested.
  • To schedule and follow up on demos or briefings you request.
  • To respond to your questions and messages.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to detect, prevent, or address abuse and security issues.

5. Legal bases for processing

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on your consent for the newsletter (which you can withdraw at any time), on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site and responding to enquiries, and on the need to take steps at your request (for example, arranging a demo).

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and our communications, and only as needed to provide their service — for example, our hosting provider, our email/newsletter provider, our analytics provider, and Google Calendar for scheduling demos. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or systems.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, we keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for those transfers.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s privacy

The site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

12. Third-party links

The site links to third-party websites and to our own product applications. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.

14. Contact us

If you have questions about this policy or your information, please contact us.
